The iPhone 3GS Smart Phone -an Objective Review
If you’ve been having a hard time figuring out if the iPhone 3GS is a good buy, keep reading this review. As Apple focuses its AT&Tention on the latest and future iPhone releases it is going to give you the opportunity to get the older models, like the iPhone 3GS for better prices. As you are going to find out, there are a lot of things that make this phone great for some and not so great for others.
As phone technology continues to increase, smart phones are capable of doing much more than simply allowing you to call other people. The iPhone 3GS Smart Phone is GPS ready, something that is standard in most iPhone’s. Most people already have a GPS in their car, however, if you are walking about, it is good to have one with you at all times. The Maps & Compass application is easy to download and you can use it right away. Finding North is no problem at all using this app. Using Maps, just find a point of interest you want to visit and it will tell you how to get there. If you are looking for a place to sleep, and you are unfamiliar with the area, type in “Hotel” and it will lead you to the nearest one.
The camera contained in the iPhone 3GS smart phone gives you the ability to take great videos and photos. While the 3 megapixel camera has good performance quality, it isn’t quite as impressive as the cameras you will find in later model smart phones but it works fine for regular use. If, though, you are very serious about making videos and taking photos, you are going to want to use separate devices for shooting movies and taking videos. For casual users, however, the iPhone 3GS works perfectly well for photos and videos and makes it easy to email them or upload them to the web.
A great and simple feature offered by the iPhone 3GS is the opportunity for copying and pasting images and text. This is something you take for granted on your computer, but it’s still a fairly advanced feature for a phone, and the iPhone 3GS was one of the first to make this available. Not only are you able to copy blocks of text, you are also able to copy entire sections of websites–including the images they contain. Then you just paste them into an email or a document. Many higher priced smart phones also have this capability, but it would be hard to find a copy and paste feature that works this well on another phone in the price range of the iPhone 3GS. You can buy many types of mobile phones, and the iPhone 3GS smart phone will mainly appeal to fans of Apple products. For example, is is incredibly easy to sync your iPhone with any other Apple devices you might own like your computer, your iPod or your iPad. Windows based computers can use them too because iTunes works on PCs too.
